Race and War Program

01/12/2007 - 6:30pm
01/12/2007 - 8:30pm

Athough news about the war in Iraq is constantly in the news, discussions about the racial aspects of the war are virtually nonexistent. Join us for an interesting and educational presentation and interchange with four eminently qualified speakers who will talk about the racist nature of the war, how racialist attitudes toward Arabs shape many Americans' perceptions of the war, how race affects who's in the military and what happens to them once they are, and other related topics.

Refreshments will be served. Each speaker will talk briefly on the subject and then we will have an open discussion and question and answers. Please contact us for more information at (773) 278-6706. Haddon is one block south of Division at California.

Please come to an interesting and challenging program on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 2700 W. Haddon (the new Puerto Rican Cultural Center, l block South of Division Street) for a panel discussion on Race and War:
